We recommend arriving in Rio de Janeiro on or before the morning of April 21, 2027, so you have time to settle in and join us for our welcome drinks at sunset.
airports & transportation
The preferred airport is Galeão International Airport (GIG). If your itinerary includes a domestic connection within Brazil, Santos Dumont Airport (SDU) is also a convenient option.
Uber is widely available throughout Rio de Janeiro and is generally the easiest way to get around. If you prefer private transportation, we’re happy to recommend trusted local car services.

Guests traveling on a U.S. passport will need a visa to enter Brazil. We recommend applying well in advance to allow sufficient processing time. Apply for visa here.
Guests traveling on European passports currently do not require a visa. If you live in the United States and travel using a European passport, please remember to bring your U.S. passport or Green Card for your return journey.

Copacabana is the perfect place to enjoy the beach, explore the city, while staying near the wedding festivities.

good to know
Like any major city, it’s important to stay aware of your surroundings and keep an eye on your belongings, especially in busy tourist areas where pickpocketing can happen.
The areas where we’ll be spending time throughout the wedding weekend, including Copacabana, are popular with both locals and visitors. As with any destination, we recommend using common sense, avoiding isolated areas at night, and not venturing into favelas unless you’re visiting as part of an organized tour.
With a little awareness, we’re confident you’ll have an amazing time enjoying everything Rio has to offer.Not necessarily! We almost always pay by card in Rio, and you’ll find that most restaurants, shops, and services accept credit and debit cards. We do recommend carrying a small amount of Brazilian Reais just in case, but there’s generally no need to carry large amounts of cash.
Expect warm, sunny days and comfortable evenings. April is one of our favorite times to be in Rio, with temperatures typically around 29°C (84°F) during the day and 22°C (72°F) at night.
Lightweight clothing, comfortable shoes, sunglasses, and plenty of sunscreen are highly recommended. A light layer for the evening is also a good idea, especially if you will be by the water.Wi-Fi is widely available throughout Rio, including at hotels, restaurants, and cafés. If you’d like to use your phone while you’re out exploring, we recommend checking with your mobile carrier about an international plan before your trip. Many travelers also choose to use an eSIM during their stay.
We know some of our guests will be traveling to Rio with their families, and children are welcome to join us for the celebration.
To help parents enjoy the evening, we’ll have a dedicated Kids’ Club available at the venue throughout the event, with professional babysitters, games, activities, children’s meals, and a quiet space for naps.
We kindly ask parents to bring their children directly to the Kids’ Club upon arriving at the venue. For safety reasons, children will not be permitted at the ceremony, as the garden is located next to a swimming pool.
Our team of professional babysitters will care for the little ones throughout the celebration, and parents will be able to check in at any time through a live video feed or by visiting the Kids’ Club.
If you are not comfortable using the Kids’ Club, we completely understand and ask that you take this into consideration before submitting your RSVP.
